Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels had a "great" conversation with veteran punter Tress Way about a potential deal for his No. 5 jersey, according to NBC Sports' JP Finlay.
A jersey swap "could happen soon," Finlay reported.
Daniels is looking to retain the number he wore during his 2023 Heisman Trophy season at LSU.
Way has worn No. 5 through 10 seasons and 162 appearances for the Commanders, including during his 2019 and 2022 Pro Bowl campaigns.
